چکیده
OBJECTIVE To determine the relationship between inflammatory markers and pathological complete response (pCR) in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC), who received neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NACRT). STUDY DESIGN Descriptive study. PLACE AND DURATION OF Department of Medical Oncology, Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Training Research Hospital, Ankara, Turkey from January 2014 to June 2020. METHODOLOGY Patients older than 18 years age, underwent NACRT a diagnosis LARC, had no disease or drug-use that could affect parameters, were included Inflammatory indices (neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio-NLR, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio-PLR, lymphocyte monocyte ratio-LMR, systemic immune-inflammation index-SII, prognostic nutritional index-PNI) changes these indices, calculated blood samples taken before surgery. The pCR was evaluated by comparing without pCR. RESULTS Out 932 patients, 188 eligible for Median values baseline SII non-pCR groups 729.3 (595.4-894.8) 869.9(567.2-1145.2, p=0.049). Baseline NLR PLR levels lower group univariate analysis tendency statistical significance. In logistic regression analysis, which NLR, PLR, SII, only <748 found be an independent predictive factor (OR: 0.471, 95% CI; 0.224-0.991, p=0.047). CONCLUSION might receiving LARC. Key Words: Locally cancer, Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, Pathological response, index, Systemic LMR, PNI.

Morphologic predictors of pathological complete response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer
Purpose To evaluate the value of morphological parameters that can be obtained conveniently by MRI for predicting pathologically complete response (pCR) in patients with rectal cancer. Materials and Methods A cohort of 101 patients was examined using MRI before and after Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT). Morphological parameters including maximum tumor area (MTA), maximum tumor length (MT...
متن کاملA nomogram predicting pathological complete response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for locally advanced rectal cancer: implications for organ preservation strategies
PURPOSE To determine predictors of pathological complete response (pCR) in locally advanced rectal cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT), and develop a predictive nomogram. METHODS A total of 522 locally advanced rectal cancer patients undergoing nCRT and curative resection between 2008 and 2014 were included. Uni- and multivariate analysis was performed to identif...
متن کاملNeoadjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy in treating locally advanced rectal cancer.
BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer is a common cancer and a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Middle to lower rectal cancer, a challenge for surgeons, is problematic. Neoadjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT), introduced in the last decade, leads the local control of advanced rectal cancer to a high percentage of R0 resection (margin negative under microscopic examination) and a...
متن کاملClinical Outcome of Patients with Complete Pathological Response to Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy for Locally Advanced Rectal Cancers: The Indian Scenario
Introduction. Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and total mesorectal excision are considered the standard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer. Various studies have reported pathological downstaging and a complete pathological response rate of 15%-27% following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy which has translated into improved survival. We endeavour to determine the clinical outcome of patien...
متن کاملA Review of Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy for Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer
Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy has become the standard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer. Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy not only can reduce tumor size and recurrence, but also increase the tumor resection rate and anus retention rate with very slight side effect. Comparing with preoperative chemotherapy, preoperative chemoradiotherapy can further reduce the local recurrence rate and d...
